President Obama in a conference on National Security yesterday stated that it is a time not for
"partisanship but rather citizenship"........that is a great line.....and if we could return to that mind set.....It would bring back a little of what "America has been in the past "........United we stand,Divided we fall"......I am ready for it.........but guess what ?........I doubt it.
When Congresswoman Nicky Tsongas(D) was in a special election she was certified to serve two days following her win so she could vote on some legislation that the "Dems" wanted passed.
Now.......the President wants the Health Bill prior to the State of the Union Address.......The one event that could hinder this plan is if one Democrat Senator was replaced with a Republican Senator..........impossible......not so if Scott Brown (R) replaced Paul Kirk (D) by defeating Martha Coakley on Jan 19,2010.........but not to worry you Health plan advocates.....
The Democratic " partisan "Machine will not certify Scott Brown until the health vote is a "done deal"........don't believe me........
Secretary of State Galvin and Senator Paul Kirk have both said that Brown will not be certified until after the State of the Union address...........so much for this bipartisan/citizen thing.....and doing the will of the electorate.....
It may be wishful thinking.......but I have a feeling that Scott might "pull an upset"........and then we can watch this next power play.....
