I am reading the" Obama Wars "by Woodworth and let me tell you what my Thoughts are........
Forget the Health Bill,Taxes,and the economy and you have a PRESIDENT that in "good faith"
is trying to figure out how to resolve issues that have plagued India, Afghanistan,and Pakistan for centuries.
The book describes in detail the issues of counterterrorism, counterinsurgency, troop levels , security of the Afghan people and the ultimate goals of the US . It appears that the meetings raise the problems without
coming up with answers.......even though the President keeps asking .......
At one point the President ponders and makes the statement that the Afghan troops need to be informed of what they are fighting for,since they do not display the will of our kids........and at another point acknowledges that time tables are not practical......but he does not want to be visiting Walter Reed and Bethesda Hospitals eight years from now......
It appears that Prayers will help......and just maybe the warring factions will "see the light" and realize that
no one wins........It appears that the Sunni's in Iraq realized it and for that their Country is relatively "quiet"
Barack Obama is trying.........
