The bad and the great from Marblehead today........

The "drive slow for Allie " impostor has not been identified, but "Crusher" my Special Envoy in this matter more than likely has some "leads ".........

The great news is that the Town has a new member of it's community.........Wes Rowe.......

He arrived in town Saturday after stays at Children's Hospital and Beverly Hospital.........He is "one little tough guy "........after an early birth and a few complications, he is home resting comfortably with Parents ,Mark & Jenna Rowe , Sister Maren (right ) and a couple of Dogs, Reagan and Leo.........

He might not know what's in store for him yet..........but I'm sure it is going to be a lot of Love and fun...........I will have various "Thought's " along the way.........

HEY MARBLEHEAD.......

I was driving down Lynn Shore Drive in Lynn yesterday at 5 pm at the intersection of Nahant Street and I was cut off by a fancy car with a "Drive Slow for Allie "sticker and a "Save the Whales"license plate. If I looked like a whale would he have been more polite.........

I realize that many Header's consider Lynn a nuisance in their daily passage to paradise......while others are afraid for their "life and limb "..........I understand I guess.......

Please remember the rest of us are part of the human race.......Thanks

GOOD BYE......GENERAL......

As an "Officer and Gentleman " in the US Navy.......I gave some nonsensical orders and followed some of them........It was part of the "Turf "..........You followed orders and their was not much "wiggle room"" for dissent.......It was and is the way of life. I enjoyed the Navy ,however the fact that you were controlled and did things in the manner dictated by orders of others made it unacceptable as a "life path " for me..........I left the Service as a LCDR after 5 Years and not as a Admiral 20 years later for that very reason.

I was surprised that a General allowed himself to be interviewed in the manner that he was in the magazine, but I am not surprised that the President took the action to have him tender his resignation.

We are at war and division in the chain of command is not acceptable......especially in public.I assume the enemy reads "Rolling Stone "......I don't......but.....

I have a feeling if an Officer under the General did what he did.........Heads would have rolled.Everything "flows "downhill...........

Orders are orders and the "Code of Conduct " is very broad in it's application.....

I will add a further opinion .... if the Commander in Chief was more experienced in leadership and administration......this incident would never have come to this point.

CELTICS...........AND MATH 52-40.......37-17

The season is over,the team and the fans are worn down.....especially after the loss of Game 7. A win by four points would have made this Team "One of Legend ".....the loss makes them one of "Old " .........and in need of changes.....Perception is as funny thing........

The problem that I see is the NBA......but I guess it will not change......and their is no an answer.....It is the "home court advantage".......Some will disagree.......

The disadvantage to the traveling team are the Referees.The players in most instances are not effected by the circumstances, but the "ref's "in their subconscious at the very least seem to err on the "side of the fans "......

Let's look at Game 7.....Both teams were allowed to "muscle" each other which would have played to Kendrick Perkins game and the rebounds would not have been 52-40 in favor of the Lakers.......enough to make a difference....This ,however is of no consequence because he did not play.........

What I am talking about is the foul shots.How could it be ........10 "monsters" on the floor at the same time wrestling each other for rebounds and a loose ball and one team gets 37 foul shots to 17.......Come on......some other factor must have played into the equation........

The draft is Thursday and Danny Ainge must go "back to the drawing board ".....will he give it one more shot with this team or implode and retool it....or go with a combination.......

How about the Coach of the Year......"Doc" Rivers.....Is he gone.....probably depends on the players remaining with the "Green" after the next few weeks or the summer.

LARRY CHEUNG........YOUNG SUPERSTAR...

I live in a condo......and the good and bad is that you live in close proximity to many people. I would not want it to be any different...........One of my neighbors is Larry Cheung who lives with his younger Brother, Calvin , and his Parents. Trust me......This guy is a "superstar ".......

The news is full of stories about the gangs....and the carnage that inevitably follows ....and Reality TV like" Jersey Shores" which glorifies parties,drinking ,and "drama" . In a nutshell things that are an "undisciplined waste of time "...........which in my opinion lead young people to the land of " nowhere"......

But back to Larry.......I have watched him grow from a toddler to a graduate from Lynn Classical High School.He is articulate, polite and when talking to you makes eye contact that gives you individual attention.......(Calvin is just like him )

He is a top student.....Captain of the Tennis team.....and held two jobs at the same time......Northeastern University is "lucky " to get his commitment for the next few years.....

I saw an article awhile back in which the Tennis Coach said that the amazing thing about Larry

was not only his leadership on the Court,but how he helped all of the members of the team become better students.........What a tribute.

The "Larry's" are the people that give hope for the future.................

BIG BABY DAVIS ......SECOND CHANCE

Back on Oct. 27,2009 Thought's had a blog wondering if ""Big Baby" would salvage his career after a "night of foolery"........He has answered us and here he is tonight in the championship game with a chance to be the "hero".......He was talking before the game and he said he has dreamed of getting the shot......getting the rebound.....................and holding the trophy.......

I am with you Glen......You made it back......win or lose tonight..........

CHARLIE CRIST ON ABORTION.....PLAYING WITH LIVES....FOR POLITICS

Governor Charlie Crist(Fl) in the "fight of his political life " says he is "pro life ", but in an attempt to have it both ways has vetoed legislation by giving the excuse that he is in favor of "changing hearts and not laws " concerning the issue of abortion.

The law passed by the Florida Legislature required Women who are going to have an abortion in the first trimester to have an ultrasound and either view it or have it explained to them by a doctor. Crist believes it is an "inappropriate burden" on women and an invasion of privacy......

I am a believer that knowledge is power and a woman facing this decision should confront the "truth "........Remember Jack Nicholson in the movie in which he said "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH ".....It is where the "road meets the tire ".........life or death.......

If this issue involved animals what would PETA say ?

Serious decisions require consideration and the acceptance of the consequences.Privacy does not mean you are not required to be responsible and can act without knowledge of information that is available.........when it comes to life.

It is my opinion that the "inappropriate burden to the live baby " is greater than that to the pregnant mother........in most cases....

UBUNTA------This is the team philosophy of the Boston Celtics as adopted by Coach "'Doc" Rivers.......It is a Bantu word from South Africa........Each year rookies are required to give a talk to the other team members concerning it's meaning......

A couple of years ago it was reported that "Big Baby" Davis gave a great presentation.....and after his performance last night when he played like a "beast".....It appears he took the meaning to heart.

The definitions I have come upon are the following;

"I am because we are";

"My humanity is caught up,is inextricably bound up,in what is yours........

MARINNA KHON.....WILL BE MISSED...FOLLOW HER LESSONS...

I never met Marinna Khon but since commenting about her misfortune I have had the opportunity to find out about her from her many friends who reached out to comment about who she was and what she meant to them.........

I heard about her tenacity , hard work and how she was determined in her endeavors.....along with being such a friend and support to so many people........The Cambodian Community,Lynn Classical and Syracuse University will miss her greatly.

but most of all her Parents,Sokhan Kich and Nara be , Brother Vannak Khon and other family members will keep her memories in their heart and soul for all time.......

Remember her legacy,she had respect for people,regardless of age or differences as stated in her obituary......You cannot do much better than that.........Follow the lessons she taught........

ELISABETH LESEUR.....SECRET DIARIES......

Elisabeth LeSeur was a married woman with an atheist Husband who became a Priest......after her "passing".........If you are interested in the story you will have to read the "Diary ". as intended by me on the basis of some of her writings..........

My thought for the day comes from her following words;

" Those whom we encounter on our earthly path often only see in passing the outer wrappings of our being and go their way,confident of knowing us well enough.Let us be careful not to do the same with the companions of our life"..............

HELEN THOMAS.....WHITE HOUSE REPORTER.....YOU GET OUT AND RETIRE

I assume that many of the young readers of "Thoughts" don't even know who Helen Thomas is.....and my opinion is that is a good thing.She is 89 years old and has been a member of the White House Reporter's Corps for "too many years"

She has been a fixture at Presidential News briefings and has had the "knack " of asking the "sound bite " question that in many instances was embarrassing to the President.....whether Democrat or Republican.......some of you may say that's ok...however I found her a distraction and always wondered how it was allowed to continue throughout the years.

Recently she was asked a question.......and she didn't answer it well.....and in fact she should just retire .......

She said the Jews should go home to Germany,Poland or America or wherever they came from and leave the Palestinians alone.........I realize the tensions in the region.....and her remarks will not help in any form....She tried to backtrack today by saying that she regretted her remarks concerning the Jews and Palestinians......The way I see it she meant her remarks to the Jews and no one else.....

Helen......you go home.....and leave us alone....Also noted is the President's "silence " on her "kind words "

KARA RING....BARTENDER...SUPREME

I get great pleasure in "giving credit where credit is due ".......and that is the case with Kara Ring , the enthusiastic bartender with the great "laugh"......at the Wharf in Revere.If you want an "honest" or unique drink along with great food you can find it at the bar along with Kara and "her aim to please "

Do yourself a favor and get over there and enjoy yourself.I am not sure of her exact "shifts", except that on Monday's and Weekends she is at the helm. This picture of Kara was taken while she was volunteering for My Brother's Table along with her cousins (Kim & Kerri ) who I" cropped "out (sorry guys )........

Kara is one busy girl....She has another full time job , two great girls and a Husband along with volunteering every time it is requested.

AL GORE......TIPPER......BLAME BUSH AND THE REPUBLICANS

A close friend of the Gore's is saying the George Bush victory may have contributed to the "breakup "......Remember "Al" won the popular vote but lost in the count that ruled....the electoral vote........

"Blame Bush "......is getting tiresome........wasn't the "big kiss "of the "Love Story " twosome 10 years ago upon him being nominated to be the Democratic torch bearer in the Presidential Race.A lot of ice has melted since that time..........

Laura Ingram,radio host, said she always liked "Tipper " and thinks she should get some type of award for putting up with the "bore Gore"for the last forty years......

Oh well.......Hope everything works out for them.......AFTER ALL....If he had not invented the internet I would not be able to give you my "Thoughts".....
