I have been a Red Sox fan since the days of Ted Williams and all those great teams that "broke your heart"and in the end came up empty and the cry went out "wait until next year"
THOSE WERE THE DAYS .........Now we have Red Sox Nation and a team that is not only entertaining, but also is on the verge of becoming a dynasty.........BUT IT DOESN'T FEEL THE SAME.......It may be "the generation gap" however to me it appears to be that the game has become all about the "juice" or money that can be made.I wonder if the average fan will at some point get bothered by an owner such as John Henry who cooperates with "Boston Magazine"and talks of his
courtship and the trips to Paris for
lunch and ice cream..........AND BOBBLE-HEADS
as gifts to the wedding guests...........
NOW FOR MY SECRET......See Lisa with the Mitt Romney bobble-head........It is part of our retirement plan......Assuming that Mitt makes a comeback and lands in the White House (not out of the question in spite of Obama hysteria )then its on to ebay and the "cash cow" will be coming to town......
Lisa's luck is that she had a boyfriend who was the Son of a previous Red Sox owner, but she decided on me ....................What a great choice.......................
