I have read the news accounts relative to John Tierney and his embattled Wife.I do not know her degree of involvement with her Brother,however it is my opinion that it is not relevant to the issue at hand.......
The candidate is the Congressman and his liberal voting record and stance on Israel .......You decide.......
Concerning the Governor's race John Nestor of Nanepashemet blog fame echo's my thought on Tim Cahill.........What did his former campaign workers do different than Cahill himself......They all realized that they couldn't win so they abandoned "ship".......Cahill "the Democratic Party"....and them the "alleged Independent Campaign ".........My thought....move on and decide........
Look at the real issues......and candidates........Patrick or Baker......oh.... I almost forgot Jill........
Hi Harvey...
ReplyDeleteI disagree, my friend. When you start with saying that you don't know of her degree (Patrice Tierney's) of involvement with her brother, and that it's not relevant, you're displaying symptoms of the same "willful blindness" that plagued her, and her husband, and, it seems, many of their supporters.
Her degree of involvement does matter because the greater it is, the more likely it is that the Congressman knew about it. It is absolutely ridiculous to think that, with all of the "knowns" about his, and his wife's, situation, that he couldn't simply put 2+2 together and, at least, express interest, or concern, as regards her potentially problematic relationship.
Her brother was a convicted felon in the illegal gambling ring field. He goes offshore to become a "gambling software salesman" which is like a convicted drug dealer going offshore to become a pharamaceutical salesman. It never occurs to the Congressman that his wife's working the books and disbursing payments might EVER result in...
1. Ethics violations (conflict of interest regarding certain votes);
2. Campaign violations (as we see with the mother-in-law, gets pad $X for Y, so has $X extra, now, to donate to campaign);
3. His wife becoming a convicted felon;
You can't separate things out. Congressman Tierney had to be, at a minimum, "willfully blind" knowing what we know about the situation, but you're so quick to dismiss it, just like we dismiss Clinton's cigar tricks in the oval office. People were, and still are, "willfully blind", to the trail of sexual assault complaints littering the road behind him... part of that vast right wing conspiracy.
Boy, are you going to feel foolish when the next hammer drops on the Tierney mini-dynasty and you find out what he knew and when he knew it... and you WILL.
Dont look at me, I only sleep with her

DJ.....I do appreciate your remarks...but not your hiding your identity.I believe that your vote should be made based on the Congressman's voting record and not your opinion of "more likely " that he knew everything.....
