OBAMA...VICK

I am so happy when I get the chance to agree with the President of the United States......It has been a hard thing to do since he showed up at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave......but he is "right on today"........

President Obama called the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles and related that it is a good thing that Michael Vick has been given a "second chance"........

I believe that persons who have been incarcerated should be given the chance to rebuild their lives.....and it should apply to all....It is better for society as well as the entire Country.....We all have made mistakes......
and compassion is a good thing......

This has nothing to do with the fact that Michael Vick has scored many points for my "Fantasy Football"Crushers, and the possibility that he may carry the Crushers to that elusive championship next year......

MATT AMORELLO.......GIVE HIM A BREAK.......

Matt Amorello has had a "bad go" of it the last few years......He has gone from a powerful political operative in Republican circles being a State Senator and the Head of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority to a Defendant charged with DUI , Damaging Property of others and leaving the scene......He is innocent until proven guilty..........but according to newspaper reports; a relative said give him a break, and I certainly can understand the sentiment of his family member.....

I am not talking a break from Justice if found guilty..........but I think the way the Boston Herald presented the story with  the" booking photo " of  him on the front page was 'uncalled for "........In fact I have no memory of  that type booking picture.in any paper............

Other reports say he is divorced, lost his house through foreclosure, and of course quit the "Big Dig Job"under political pressure which had been paying in the range of $ 223.000........

These charges seem to demonstrate that  he has hit the "bottom " on this phase of his journey through life........and
Being who he is.....makes it obvious that many people will find "glee" in this tragedy..........I do not know him and it seems to me that his "public persona " have led him to this particular point of scorn.......But..........that is not the purpose of this " Thought ".............


Compassion is a human characteristic that is greater than the human mistakes that we all make....... the Courts will sort out the judgement but remember none of us are perfect......and except for the "Grace of God " go I.............

Leave the judgements to others .........and think how you would feel if this was you or one of your family members........

First Amendment Rights allow unfettered use of "words, thoughts and sentences........but don't control human reason and dignity......You have to figure that out for yourself..........
