It is friday evening after a busy week.........and I have returned from the saddest " wake " I have ever had the privilege to attend.......I say privilege in that all the sadness brought out the beauty of the family and the love they have for each other and.........for a young woman whose life has been cut short at one of her happiest moments ........
A year ago I taught a Criminology Course at NSCC and one of the "best and brightest" was Jennifer Rodriguez.......She stood out, was prepared, interesting and had meaningful comments to add to the discussion at hand...........What made this incredible was that She was a loving wife with two beautiful Daughters,Scarlett Diane (now 10) and Brianna Amelia (now 5)......and a full time job as Administrative Assistant for the Comm. of Mass, Board of Bar Overseers , Office of the Bar Counsel...........
" One of Jenny's happiest moment mentioned above............ happened 9 days ago when Her Son, Nathan Jeremiah was born.......He was at the funeral home being cared for by Jenny's Sisters and co workers ..........In all of the tears ......the beautiful baby Nathan and the caring family and friends was a wonderful " moment in time " ...........filled with love.
Knowing the circumstances I was thinking what will happen to these little children............but after observing the love and spirit of this family.......Everything will be ok.........
Jennifer's obituary told it all....."She loved school,was dedicated to God,and her favorite job was being a Mother.........RIP..........
We know not the day or the hour..............Jennifer lived her life knowing this.......and her actions showed it............This will be her legacy .........
